Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced freelance Robotics instructor to teach Robotics and its applications in engineering to our students. Robotics is a rapidly evolving field with diverse applications across various industries, and it is essential for our students to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in this area.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials covering various aspects of Robotics, including robot design, kinematics, dynamics, control systems, sensors, actuators, and programming.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, workshops, and practical sessions to students in person.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Robotics technology, research, and applications to ensure the content remains relevant and up to date.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and critical thinking.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their Robotics skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in the field of Robotics, with a focus on its applications in engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Robotics principles and methodologies, including robot design, kinematics, dynamics, control systems, sensors, actuators, and programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, ROS).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and understandably.
- Experience in developing and delivering educational content, such as lectures and workshops
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students, with a commitment to their academic and professional success.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools and simulation environments commonly used in Robotics, such as MATLAB, Simulink, Gazebo, V-REP, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching Robotics or related subjects to undergraduate or graduate students.
- Experience working on real-world Robotics projects in engineering or related fields.
- Familiarity with project-based learning methodologies and hands-on lab activities.
- Experience with robotics hardware platforms (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO Mindstorms, robotic arms) and their integration with software systems.
This is a freelance position, and the instructor will be responsible for delivering 3-hour classes on-site as per the agreed schedule. The class will be about introduction to Robotics and its applications, Scope of Robotics, how to find jobs and finally Q&A.
